Event details: Winter Solstice Walks
Description
The Spiro Mounds Archaeological Center will have a series of special guided tours of this very special prehistoric site. The walks will be led by archaeologist Dennis Peterson, will last about 2 hours and require about 1 mile of easy walking. Dennis will talk about the mounds their creation and why some of the mounds line up with the Solstice and Equinox Sunsets. Cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
