Please call ahead, hours subject to change Summer; M - F 10- 4:30; Sat 10 - 4; Sun 1- 4. Winter; Mon - Sat, 10 - 4. Closed Sunday's in Winter,Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve thru Jan 2. Takes you thru picturesque historic Southport, along river and boardwalk to a gazebo overlooking the Cape Fear River. Views of Oak Island Lighthouse and Baldhead Island Lighthouse.The route includes the old Smithville burying grounds (not accessible with a wheelchair) and past Fort Johnston (probably the smallest active US Army post). Many antique shops and stores on route.
