whenairturnstowater, Sleep Studies

whenairturnstowater is a band. We sometimes play very loud, and find we physically can't play loud enough. We sometimes play very quiet, finding we physically can't play any quieter. Sometimes there is singing. Sometimes there is silence. We are a rock band born of passion for passionate music, taking cues from such postrock giants as Explosions in the Sky, Sigor Ros, and Godspeed! You Black Emperor, and mixing in some Sunny Day Real Estate, some Mineral, and a dose of post punk epithet the likes of At The Drive In. We enjoy challenging ourselves to write the best music we can, at times casting traditional "verse-chorus-verse" to the side and instead building on themes, buildups, and our souls burning melodies. We play our songs to the bones at every live performance. We love our fans to death. Come drown with us -whenairturnstowater

Sleep Studies

Sleep Studies is an ambient rock band from the Boston area. Not quite post-rock, shoegaze or dream-pop, they are pursuing their own unconventional sound through volume, texture and space. For fans of My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and Mogwai this may be a welcome local experience.
