Shrubs! with Journeyman
Shrub is a tangy, fruity syrup that old-timey housewives in New England valued as a delicious alternative to wine. Journeyman restaurant and Bug Hill Farms are both unabashedly wild about shrubs, and in this workshop they want to share with you some ideas about how to use shrubs and other fruit syrups at home. At the market you’ll make kid-friendly, non-alcoholic concoctions, but if you’re looking for some punch with punch, head over to Backbar after the market and enjoy a special Swirl and Slice shrub cocktail.
Meet at the Swirl and Slice Tasting Tables in front of the SCAT building, 90 Union Square. The event takes place rain or shine.
