My Morning Jacket, Band of Horses, Trampled By Turtles
My Morning Jacket hatched in Louisville, Kentucky, playing soaring country, fragile folk,
and fiery, impassioned, beautiful rock'n'roll in a rickety shack on their guitarist's grandparents'
farm. Singer Jim James' heavenly croon was conjured from an 80-foot tall grain
solo they alchemically transformed into a natural reverb chamber. They soon became
regulars at the annual Bonnaroo festival, toured the world's stadiums and nightclubs
where Jim sang sweetly to the angels, and the guitars and organs and drums tore away,
chasing some sublime psychedelic crescendo which won the group a fevered word-ofmouth
fan base. Rose Presents and Somerset Amphitheater are proud to announce My
Morning Jacket with special guests Band of Horses and Trampled by Turtles outdoors on
August 10 in Somerset, Wisconsin.
