Moderate to Strenous Day Hike: Nason Ridge via Round Mountain Entrance

This is a lovely hike with great views from the ridge, but it is rather strenuous. We can go as far as we want - probably up to 10 miles roundtrip so we can visit Alpine Lookout. There are steep sections, and the trail has no water (according to the reports I've read as I have yet to do this section) so bring water for your dog. This one is dependent on the snow level/weather. We might have to change the destination so please be flexible. Often, Mt. Pilchuck is snow/ice free when other places aren't so that's also an option. The other possibility if everything high is icy/snowy and the weather is rainy is to go to the Chuckanuts as there are lakes, etc. whose view won't be ruined by being socked in.
