Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Festival – JazzFest
The annual Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Festival – JazzFest has become a summer favorite in Sioux Falls and the region. JazzFest is a two-day outdoor musical event featuring two stages and is free to the public. JazzFest joined up with Millennium Recycling and Novak Sanitary Services to implement recycling of aluminum and plastic at JazzFest 2008. Both businesses donated a portion of the proceeds from recycling to the SFJB Scholarship Fund. By tossing bottles and cans in the bins marked recycling festival-goers gave a young musician the chance to receive music education through the SFJB Scholarship Fund. The Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society, the organizers of JazzFest, recommend that festival-goers either ride their bikes or take the JazzFest shuttle, bus, trolley, or bike trail to the festival.
