Riley Etheridge

Riley Etheridge is a singer/songwriter with deep roots in Americana music. Raised in a family of musicians in South Carolina, he spent two decades playing and recording in the musical gumbo of South Louisiana. After a 10 year hiatus, his move to New York City has inspired Riley’s collection of new work and live performances. Riley’s upcoming album Things I Used to Know will be independently released in November 2009. These three songs are pre-release mixes of tracks from the album, which was recorded in New Orleans in July of 2009. The record is being produced and mixed by Wendell Tilley in Nashville, TN, and includes contributions from New Orleans musicians Larry Seiberth (piano), Shane Theriot ( guitar-Neville Brothers) and drummer Doug Belote (Jerry Douglas Band). Baton Rouge bassist David Ellis played both acoustic and electric bass, and in Nashville Johnathan Yudkin and Dan Dugmore added violin, mandolin and steel guitar tracks. The band is scheduled for a series of album release events in November of 2009.
