Description
Voted the most beautiful place in America
Find out why…

This group trip opened to solo travelers and couples in their 30s and 40s brings us to Sedona, a mecca in central Arizona ripe with native culture, quaint shops, and art galleries. It is best known, however, for the breathtaking beauty of the famous red rocks surrounding this community. You are sure to feel a sense of serenity from the moment you arrive.
This special trip will include all the activities the red rocks of Sedona has to offer, such as hiking, sunset jeep tours, and hanging out with cowboys at a cattle ranch, taking sunset Jeep tours and hiking,. There will also be plenty of downtime for golf, shopping or indulging in a spa treatment. Perhaps most enchanting, however, is the chance to learn about the native culture by exploring ancient ruins and old burial ceremonies. Native guides will share with us the secrets and wonders of the sacred land through stories, song, music, silence, and being. At night, we’ll retreat to the luxurious Amara Resort, which is hidden by a running creek and red rocks yet just a five-minute walk from town. The resort is sure to rejuvenate with its outdoor Jacuzzi and heated saltwater pool, complimentary DVD rentals and Internet services, fitness room, 240-thread count sheets

PLUS: We are offering this event at this time because we thought that people would love the opportunity to participate in the Sedona Marathon… but don’t have to the entire thing, there are also options for half marathons and a 5k. The motto of the Run: Follow Your Own Road – how can we not be part of that? Run through the red rocks of Sedona and you'll never be the same again. Even if you don’t want to be a part of the marathon, we’ll participate in the festivities –live music and big pasta feast the evening before.

When the red dust settles on the hilly, high-altitude (4,100 to 4,600 feet [1,250 to 1,402 meters]) Sedona Marathon, you may not have bagged a personal best, but you'll have substantially boosted your cosmic mojo. The race, undulates through the piñon pines of Coconino National Forest, passing beneath red-rock spires and traversing one of Sedona's famous energy vortexes, Boynton Canyon—said to be the birthplace of the Apache tribe. Forty percent of the course is on a joint-saving dirt road that wends through parkland.
