This is a lecture demonstration designed to provide a rapid and thorough introduction to metalworking. The class is for anyone that has always wanted to "get into" metalwork. This lecture/demo will demonstrate the principal tools and techniques of metalwork for people with no prior experience aged twelve and up. These include: Mig welding (Gmaw, Fcaw) Tig Welding, Oxy-uel cutting and welding, "Stick" welding (Smaw) Demonstrations of Machine tool; Milling and Lathe Work Demonstration of Computer numeric control plasma cutting. The class will help you decide whether metal is your thing, it is not a welding intensive. Please refer to my Mig welding intensive as a reference. Other topics may include safety, metallurgy, foundry work and how to bootstrap a shop. The class is taught in a comfortable conversational style with time for questions and some hands-on. The class is taught in 2200 sq foot art studio. This is a comfortable social environment suitable for parent kid teams, birthdays, and a great date idea. Hope to see you soon! Rusty
