I'm speaking for the whole Seattle Community when I ask somthing be done about Lady Gaga coming to the Showbox. Her show may be too big now, but I'm propelled to reach out. If not the Showbox, where?

I was fortunate to see SLAYER here when they first released "God Hates us All" on 9/11 (talk about eerie)!!! this show was amazing!! Chimera opened for them. Most intimate venue I've been to (except Catwalk) AWESOME!!!

Mudvayne was completely off the hook, one of the best shows in the local area in years. Very intimate, can't get mush better then this. Would be mind-blowing if TOOL were to play either here or the SoDo Market.

My husband and I found this spot by accident while in Seattle for a Seahawks game(September '08)...best experience ever!! We've told all are friends and family and now everyone hits that spot for gameday. Hoping to hit a concert or two here soon.

This is an AWESOME venue. Though I've only been here twice to see Cradle of Filth, Static Xw/Otep, it was a kick ass place. Small and intimate . You're up close and personal with the bands. Loud as hell.
Description
Founded in 1939, Seattle's Showbox Theater is one of the towns very few extant entertainment venues that can lay claim to having provided local music fans such an astonishing breadth of music over the decades. From the Jazz Age to the Grunge Era, the storied ballroom has featured shows by touring icons like Duke Ellington, Muddy Waters, and the Ramones - as well as those by homegrown talents ranging from burlesque queen, Gypsy Rose Lee, to Pearl Jam. Although the Showbox has had its ups and downs in times past, today it remains active as a significant contributor to Seattle's music scene.
