Description
How It Works The race takes place at Warren G. Magnuson Park, a large multi-use complex, on Sunday, November 16, 2008. The 5K course takes participants across the park and over various terrains: grass, paved bicycle paths, roads and dirt trails. There are obstacles dispersed throughout the course. Teams will be separated into waves, and participants complete the course as a team, assisting one another with the various challenges. The team’s time will be measured by the time it takes all team members to cross the finish line. All participants and their guests are invited to celebrate in a post-race Hawaiian luau immediately following the race located near the finish line. What A timed 5k run with obstacles along the course in Magnuson Park followed by a luau complete with a beer garden and Hawaiian entertainment. The luau is held near the finish line inside an old airplane hangar which we will turn in to a beach complete with sand! Guests of Pineapple Classic participants can purchase luau-only tickets for $5 on event day. Each registered participant will receive a very cool looking long sleeve tech tee (see photos on the right), a free pass once thru the food line (additional plates are $5), free beer if you are over 21, and the satisfaction that you are fighting blood cancers.
