Type A! is a terrific exemplar of that often-maligned, but absolutely indispensable entity: The Party Band. At The Triple Door, we love all kinds of music for all kinds of occasions and sometimes, on a Friday night, what we want to hear is one hit after another, start to finish. Give us Aretha Franklin, Tower of Power, Sly And The Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Outkast and dozens more, not from a turntable, but from a living, breathing, kick-ass band with a full horn section and three female singers. And that’s exactly what we get from Type A! Showmanship...classic tunes for the hips and feet...non-stop energy...a band that knows what it’s about...Friday night: get in here and get in the spirit!
