Description
Learning to draw has traditionally been taught by copying master works and drawing from casts. This class introduces students to the sight-size method to begin working in the round. Drawing from casts allows for the study of form under controlled circumstances, and the sight-size method allows the artist to compare their work with the subject easily, without having to transpose sizes or completely depend on their visual memory. Students will focus on the block-in, the foundation of the classical drawing process.
