Advanced Rehearsal and Performance with Annette Toutonghi (Seattle Session with Freehold Theatre)

Advanced Rehearsal and Performance This class will take an ensemble of advanced students through the entire process of production -- from the first read through, rehearsals and tech, to public performances. Students will be cast in roles (sometimes multiple) and work as actors, with the instructor as director. The structure of the class will reflect a professional rehearsal process and will provide an opportunity to hone one's skills while working with a director. As members of the ensemble, students will also participate in other tasks of production: costumes, makeup, sets and props and sound. We will explore the script, research the world of the play, rehearse and finally perform the piece for a full weekend at Freehold's Blackbox Theatre. Prerequisites: Meisner or Instuctor's approval. October 4 - December 13 Sundays 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. $625 (Tier I); $675 (Tier II) Tier is based on household income. (No class Oct. 18 and 21.) To register; www.freeholdtheatre.org or call us at (206) 323-7499 Annette Toutonghi worked with many local theatres including A Contemporary Theatre, On the Boards, Portland International Center for the Arts, Seattle Children's Theatre, The Empty Space Theatre, the 14/48 Theatre Festival, The Seattle Group Theatre, Intiman Theatre, and Book-It Repertory Theatre. Most recently she toured with Freehold's Engaged Theatre's production of Othello and played Essie in YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU at at the Seattle Repertory Theatre. Other performances include THE RICH GRANDEUR OF BOXING with Megan Murphy and Company at the National Center for Dance in Paris and THE WOMEN at ACT Theatre. She is a voice-over artist as well, credits include the Freddi Fish series, Pajama Sam and Sly Cooper: Honor Among Thieves. Annette received her B.A. from Middlebury College and her M.F.A. from the University of Washington's Professional Actor's Training Program.
