I missed you the last time you were here. It would be awesome if you came to Seattle again. Though i live in Tacoma and would love for you to come there, i would make the drive to seattle if you came this year!!!

I just talked to the Dubliner Pub in Fremont. They didn't book anyone this weekend because they thought bumbershoot would leech off too many patrons. Leaving the path open for us maybe... (206) 548-1508 Irish / Jazz / R&B Contact: Ben

Dudes and dudesses, this is totally going to work. I’ve gotten a few places from a few people, and I’m just trying to figure out some of the details. God bless you, you beautiful internet. I’ll post an update when I figure out what’s going on - thank you so much to everyone who’s pitching in.

I'm still on the case, but it could be a bit tricky to get a smaller venue (a la coffee house'ish which could hold around 100 people) as I actually live on the east side of the state so I don't have direct connections. I'm heading over there tomorrow and am in contact with a friend who should hopefully know the right people to make this happen. HOWEVER, in the meantime, is there anybody else that lives in the Seattle area and knows of any good potential venues, downtown Seattle or elsewhere, where this could possibly be setup and made a done deal??

Lars-nCompany writes: I've been a fan of Jonathan Coulton for a year and a half or so now, and have yet to see him live. He came to Seattle a while ago for a book promotion with John Hodgman, but a set of tricky circumstances prevented me from going. Still, it would be pretty awesome if he could make it out again.

Jonathan Coulton
Jonathan Coulton is the Contributing Troubadour for Popular Science magazine and the musical director for John Hodgman’s Little Gray Book Lectures. His songs about vengeful nerds, ennui-afflicted clowns, partially-imagined historical figures, and devotees of a certain Swedish prefab furniture store are insanely clever without ever being too clever for their own good. They repeatedly lure you into laughing before suddenly breaking your heart. And the sick part is, you keep coming back. Coulton's is the voice of every spooky elementary school kid who could never quite keep his shirt tucked in or shoes tied; every lovelorn mason and mad scien...
