Arturo Sandoval SCOTTSDALE LATIN JAZZ FESTIVAL
One of the most dynamic and vivacious performers of our time, virtuoso jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval will headline the first Scottsdale Latin Jazz Festival, performing in the Virginia G. Piper Theater on Nov. 14. The festival also will feature a Latin ballroom dance competition and two afternoon celebrations of Latin arts, music and cuisine on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall, including amphitheater concerts by the talented, young Mexican singer-songwriter Ximena Sariñana on Nov. 13 and the high-voltage Miami-based ensemble Tiempo Libre on Nov. 14. Brazilian singer Claudia Villela will close the festival with an amphitheater concert on Nov. 15.
