Paper Tongues plays for the people. Fusing massive rock n' roll melodies with fiery hip hop beats, the Charlotte band conjures an infectious, incendiary sound. Embracing elements of rock, funk, rap and soul, these seven individuals have created something you haven't before. It's music for dancing, crying, loving and living.

OPENER: COMPANY OF THIEVES
These exciting – if uncertain – times are reflected in the eclectic sound of Ordinary Riches, an album that moves effortlessly from the seemingly jaunty, piano-led "In Passing" and the catchy pop tones of "Pressure" to the arena-ready sing-along chorus of "New Letters" and the Jonny Greenwood-ish guitar figures on "Old Letters." They are erudite without being pretentious, hooky without being saccharine, and plainly dedicated to its ideals.

CLOSER: KINCH
Their sound doesn't dabble with the specific genres of indie-rock. "When it comes down to it, it's just rock," Junker says. He hears a lot of people say its piano rock, but doesn't really agree. The music doesn't necessarily have a theme except maybe, "Feeling worried," Junker says. There's also the idea of record Kinch, and live Kinch. "I think the records are good enough to stand on their own, but seeing us live makes it all come together," Witt says.
