Topics which Tiggy and Emma will cover include: Recent high-profile Tribunal decisions in relation to discrimination and unfair dismissal practice and procedure Impact of Brexit and the Government’s Good Work Plan Engaging contractors and consultants: IR35 reform in the private sector 2.30pm – 2.45pm: Refreshment Break 2.45pm – 3.30pm: Boosting office moral, health and wellbeing – Michelle Howarth, Co-Marketing Manager at Stuarts Foods Ltd In this 45-minute session, Michelle will explain how to Boost Office Moral, Health and Wellbeing – Starting at the top Did you know that an average of 60% of our waking hours is spent at work if you work a full-time job; that’s 60% of someone's time we could be having a positive influence on their behaviour and lifestyle. As leaders of a business or a team, you’re always thinking 10 steps ahead, thinking about your team, your customers and your suppliers but what about how that affects you and how in turn that affects everyone else. Let’s slow down and take a minute to look at focusing on some key areas that often get left behind - health and wellbeing and how making some simple changes could have a huge impact on you, your customers and your business. This event is free to attend however, we do reserve the right to charge a £10 no-show fee for those who are unable to attend who do not contact us with apologies (except in exceptional circumstances).  All, of our branch events are organised by volunteers who give up their time freely to provide CPD opportunities for others in North Yorkshire, events are funded through branch funds, and our speakers (who at most receive expenses only) give up their time freely to prepare and present their sessions.
