The Starland Ballroom New Jersey opened December 6, 2003 with a performance by David Lee Roth - former Van Halen front man. In its first year of operation, events at The Starland Ballroom New Jersey generated ticket sales numbers in excess of 150,000 - solidifying the venue's place amongst the Ten Largest Concert Nightclubs in the World. This ranking rose in 2004 - only the second year in business for the venue- when Starland Ballroom New Jersey events sold 205,000+ tickets.

Past additions to the Starland Ballroom schedule who have bragging rights to sold-out shows include Justin Timberlake, New Found Glory, Jonas Brothers, Yellowcard, Flogging Molly, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Hanson.
