In World War II, six milliion Polish citizens were killed - three million Christian and three million Jews.The extermination of the Polish people began with the systematic murder of Polish Catholic clergy and academic intelligentsia - the Nazi goal was to eliminate the presence of Poles and the Polish culture in order to further the German Imperialist aims.
