74th ANNUAL SARASOTA COUNTY FAIR

NEWS FLASH: The reports have been confirmed and the U.F.O. have been identified! ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ We've actually identified these U.F.O.s just in time for their much-anticipated landing, right here in Sarasota County. They just might be familiar to you, as you may know them by any of the following names: ENTERPRISE LOOPING STARSHIP SPACE SHUTTLE FLYING COASTER GRAVITRON STARSHIP 3000 SATURN 6 ORBITER ZERO GRAVITY MOONRAKER That's right... We have been invited to capture the sights of the 74th Annual Sarasota County Fair. The fair in motion in the dark of the night should provide us with plenty of incredible opportunities, given the abundance of exhibits, food booths, games and rides that create those opportunites... But most especially, the rides!!! Their colorful, flashing lights against the backdrop of the dark night sky should be spectacular and the fast action will be challenging to say the least. Slow down your shutter speed, perch your camera atop a tripod and the artistic possibilities of motion blur become realities... Parking is free. This is a VERY busy time for the fairgrounds and you may want to allow a few extra minutes to find a place to park and walk up to meet the group. We'll be meeting in front of the Robarts Arena (where we shot the Showfolks Circus) at 7pm next Tuesday night. You can get directions from your home provided by GOOGLE by clicking HERE or by programming the address into your GPS system... IMPORTANT NOTE: The normal cost of the Gate Admission is $8.00. Our host has generously issued 12 Complimentary Gate Passes which will provide FREE admission for the first 12 people who have RSVP "YES" for this shoot. This is why I had to limit the RSVP to 12 with the option of an automated waiting list. In the event any "YES" RSVP are changed, the system will automatically move the next person on the waiting list up. Please be sure to add your name to the waiting list if you're interested in attending. I ask all of you who have RSVP "YES" to please be considerate of everyone who may want a chance to attend... If you can't make it, please be diligent in changing your RSVP as quickly as you can. This is just a thought, but if interest in attending this shoot grows after the location announcement, perhaps those who have already RSVP "YES" would be interested in "sharing" the free admission and split the cost with a member who would have to pay the full admission price, making it only $4.00 each. Another thought to consider is that Gate Admission is FREE between the hours of 2:00pm and 4:00pm. If anyone was interested in going early... you could take advantage of the free gate admission and there's not a doubt in my mind that there would be plenty to keep you and your camera quite busy until night falls. Cross your fingers that the weather stays nice, as a muddy fairground is not fun!!! But if Tuesday rains out, we still have several nights left to "try again" and I have left my schedule open all week. 8-) UPDATE: TRIPODS are approved. I have confirmed with the powers that be at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds. Weather.com forcast for the coming week predicts both Monday and Tuesday to be SUNNY with 0% chance of rain... that means the grounds will be nice n dry... however, still dirty so i don't recommend wearing flipflops or your best pair of shoes.
