“Volker Strifler is a beautiful guitarist and a powerful singer” states Robben Ford. Music with an arresting intricacy, sophisticated yet raw and haunting. Influences of contemporary artists such as Robben Ford, Ry Cooder and Robert Cray as well as traditional blues artists like T-Bone Walker and Albert Collins have all had an influence on the music of Volker Strifler who has created his own original style of Americana/Roots & Blues While he has recorded and/or toured with many of the top modern blues artists like Ford, Chris Cain and Garth Webber he has spent time learning from legends like Lowell Fulson as well.
