Nate LaPointe Trio
NLB was originally formed in 2004 as a songwriting outlet for Nate and Tim. It evolved into the Nate LaPointe Trio when bassist Ivan Johnson was added to the group to play shows around LA. The Trio toured a bit and found the need to add other musicians. Filling this fourth spot was Dan Franklin on guitar and mandolin and also sometimes Jamieson Trotter on keyboards. The group opened up for Cubensis featuring Vince Welnick on their Spring 2006 California tour. Now with David Johnson on keys, Chris Payne on drums, and Bryan Landers occasionally sitting in on banjo, the group has refined it's chops as LA's coolest new songwriter/jam band. The...Links
