8 mile run with one serious uphill - stretching at 4:45 am, run starts promptly at 5:00am Every run will start with a brief stretching session in the Ralph's parking lot at 260 S. La Brea. Park on the south side of the lot by the white fence which is the area closest to the 3rd Street driveway - in other words, as far away from the store entrance as possible. All speeds and abilities are welcome. The plan is to try and keep everyone together for the first week or two until they become familiar with the route (slowest runner pace controls the rest). Afterwards, there is a Jamba Juice on Larchmont (as well as a Coffee Bean AND a Starbucks AND not one but TWO different bagel shops!) Runner's may want to bring a bottle of fluid, a head lamp or flash light, and wear reflective clothing. About the Organizer: Angela Brunson is an accomplished marathon and ultra-marathon runner. Angela is also active in rock climbing, mountain biking, yoga, and ice hockey. She received her personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Her running background allows her to effectively communicate with other endurance athletes. She recently completed her 25th marathon and her PR is 3:17:51 (California International Marathon, December 2007). RSVPing for this event is an absolute MUST.
