Salaton Ole Ntutu Kenya Maasai Chief & Visionary: Dinner & Auction

On February 20-25th, Maasai warrior and chief Salaton Ole Ntutu will be hosted in Santa Fe, NM for several days by Dr. Andrew Lustig to generate awareness and support for his community in Maji Moto, Kenya.

Mayor Coss will welcome chief Salaton to our city at our auction event Feb 22nd. Joe Wilson, former United States Diplomat to Africa under five U.S. presidents will also be welcoming chief Salaton.

Salaton became a skilled warrior who survived among wild animals in the harsh and challenging African Savanna. He spent seven years in the African bush, from the age of 14, surviving with little more than a blanket and a spear. He is now a leader on social and economic issues for his tribe.

Over the years, Lustig has worked with this tribal community to provide volunteer healthcare and is inspired by their culture, traditions and generous spirit. He joins efforts with Salaton to preserve a balance between the traditional ways of life and the encroaching modern world through education and quality healthcare. During his visit, Salaton will engage groups and individuals in presentations and conversations about his traditional Maasai life from childhood, through warriorship, into his present role as a visionary leader bridging world cultures.
