I've changed rsvps back to the old way. The waiting lists are gone and the "maybe" rsvps are back. What to bring: water, snacks, tick repellent, camera, rain jacket and hat if necessary http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/8/d/a/event_9595514.jpeg Please read the FAQ. By joining us on this hike you agree to hold the organizers, assistant organizers, and other members harmless. You are responsible for your own safety on the hike. http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/8/d/9/event_9595513.jpeg We will hike about four miles and find panoramic views at the top. Elevation gain is a few hundred feet. The trail is sandy and strenuous in places. Beginners can stop at any point and wait for us to return on the same trail. The park's website is here. http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/8/d/b/event_9595515.jpeg There are ticks and poison oak in Quail Hollow. Tick repellent is a good idea on any hike. The path we will take is mostly wide enough to avoid brushing against grasses which is the most common way to get a tick. http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/e/0/5/a/event_7617434.jpeg We will meet at the Felton Safeway parking lot (meet and park near Graham Hill Road) and carpool 15 minutes to the park entrance. Please have $1 gas money for your carpool driver. Parking will be easy at the park if you prefer to meet us there but please arrive on time as we will not wait. The park is here. Carpool route is here. http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/e/0/5/c/event_7617436.jpeg We will eat an early dinner after the hike at a nearby restaurant. http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/8/d/5/event_9595509.jpeg
