Buddhist Methods for Transforming the Mind Meetup

This is a great group for learning about Buddhist theory and how it is applied in day to day life, as well as learn and experience the calming and stabilizing effects that Buddhist Meditation has over the mind. We will be watch/ listening to recorded teachings from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on topic such as cause and effect, compassion and loving-kindness, and mind training. As well as looking at different sutras (philosophical texts) that give us more food for thought and deeper understanding of ourselves and the reality around us. The Buddhist Meditations are very powerful and include both contemplative meditation as well as meditation that involves visualization, these meditations have been specially designed by our Lama.
