Attention! To all who love listening to great stories while sipping great beer: Alehouse Narratives is back for another season of literary fun!Writers! Come join in an alehouse tradition of sharing your stories: personal anecdotes, poems, short stories, creative non-fiction, or essays & humor. Listen! Over the course of presenting this series of readings, we’ve had the tremendous pleasure of listening to great stories and hearing some very impressive voices evolving. Writers like Rick Graves, Dylan Sanders-Self, Dan McFadden, Kevin Ahmadi, Joy Magi, and more have engaged our ears and have spoken to our hearts and minds. With too many moving moments to list, the greatest part has been seeing writers practicing their craft, refining their techniques, and sharing their evolving vision of the world and of themselves. Come check out the engine of creativity and connection that is the Alehouse Narratives.Exquisite! If you enjoy wordplay and want a chance to have some fun playing with poetic phrases, then come early to participate in our Exquisite Corpse series. These are collectively written poems in the tradition of the Surrealists. Not only will this help get your creative juices flowing, we will also read the poems between our presenters and you could have a chance to get up and read. Or, you can just listen and laugh along as you hear your lines fitting into the surreal mix.Different! This time, we are honored to say: the lovely Sarah Kalman will be our host for the series. Initially joining the stage to read an Exquisite Corpse, we quickly fell in love with Sarah’s voice and thoroughly enjoyed her poems. For this series, she will be taking on the roll of introducing our presenters. Come check out one of the loveliest emcees you ever will see.Tribute! The first evening will be in honor of one of our favorite readers, Peter McLaughlin.  Peter made us laugh from the first time he read and on October 4, and we will be honoring the writer that he was. A brilliant, funny, and profound mind: Peter was one of our favorite writers and we are happy to have this chance to remember him. Peter made us laugh from the first time he read and on October 4, we will be honoring the writer that he was.
