      2013 California Energy Code

California has set aggressive Climate Change and Energy goals, including Zero Net Energy for all new Residential Construction by 2020. This will have major effects on our industry, starting next year, when the new state energy code is implemented. Sharon Block will present a summary of the coming code changes, and how the design and construction of buildings will need to change to meet these goals. She will provide a toolkit of options to help our clients meet this hurdle in a cost effective and timely fashion, focusing on iterative energy modeling and a collaborative process from the Architect's first site sketch to Solar PV interconnection.About the Speaker
