Presentation:
David Webster will share five key insights that should matter to
your business now. Drawing from project stories that range from
health and wellness to consumer experience delivery, David will
highlight IDEO's design methodology, illustrating how design can
help to solve some of the world's most complex problems.

Speaker:
David is an IDEO partner and project lead. He leads convergence
projects and relationships within the Health and Wellness
practice, where convergence refers to the intersection between
healthcare and all of the ideo channels of consumer experience
delivery. David previously led the San Francisco office for 4
years, growing it from 30 to 78 designers.

He has been with the company since 1997, contributing as a
multidisciplinary design project leader, concept generator and
design engineer at all phases of development on projects ranging
from Internet appliances for start-ups to new business strategy
for multinational corporations.

Prior to joining IDEO, David worked as an industrial designer for
GK Dynamics in Tokyo, where he designed motorcycles for Yamaha;
for London innovation consultant WhatIf, generating and consumer
testing new product concepts; and for Unilever in Europe, where
he managed new packaging process design and implementation projects.

David holds a MDes in Industrial Design Engineering from the
Royal College of Art, a BEng Mechanical Engineering from the
University of Edinburgh and a DIC in Industrial Design
Engineering from Imperial College, London. He also holds diplomas
in Japanese Language from the University of Sheffield and
