Description
It has come down to this—in 2008, nothing works without the Internet. But Internet marketing is sometimes an empty shell without complementary media channels. Newspapers, Yellow Pages, directory assistance, cable TV, broadcast and out-of-home all play key roles in small business marketing (the latter especially transformed this year with super high definition roadside monitors increasingly replacing the static billboards of old).

This year at Interactive Local Media 2008 we embrace the inevitable—the unfolding of real synergies for small business marketing between new and old media; search and display; technology and sales.

ILM:08 SuperForums
In two highly interactive mega-sessions we’ll look at SMB and video trends and innovations through the interactive local media lens.

SuperForum I: Local/Small Business. Sales solutions that effectively reach into the SMB population are a big part of the ILM:08 program. All will be specifically tackled during a unique, multidisciplinary SuperForum dedicated specifically to small businesses.

SuperForum II: Local Video Explosion. The ILM:08 program will spotlight a horde of new rich media solutions, including video, audio, blogs, wikis and e-mail. Video especially is the principal driver for new relationships with SMBs. At ILM:08 we’re focusing an entire SuperForum specifically to sort out the video opportunity.

45 World-Class Speakers
The learning (and networking) continues with 45 best-of-class speakers, including Mark Canon, Yell.com; Kevin Cuddihy, Comcast; Angie Hicks, Angie’s List; Brad Inman, TurnHere; Mark Josephson, Outside.in; Mike Liebhold, Institute for the Future; Lem Lloyd, Yahoo Newspaper Consortium; Larry Olevitch, NBC Local; Meredith Papp, Google; Rodney Rice, ServiceMagic; and Jeff Stibel, Web.com.

Maximum Networking Capacity
The ILM:08 program is filled with formal and informal networking opportunities. From breakfasts, luncheons and coffee breaks, to cocktail receptions and casual corridor conversations—you’ll have plenty of chances to connect with local media insiders, experts and innovators.
