Santa Barbara musician Alastair Greene’s prodigious skills as a guitarist extend not only to his work as an acclaimed solo artist, but as one who has also mastered the music by some of the best axe men ever.
The latter is on display at SOhO Music Club on Friday, November 13, as Alastair Greene presents “A Tribute To Eric Clapton.” SOhO Music Club is located at 1221 State St., Santa Barbara; Showtime 9 p.m.; $8. Cover. Info: (805) 962-7776 or log onto www.sohosb.com.Also performing with Greene that evening: SB-based musicians, George Friedenthal; Jim Rankin; Peter Sharpe; and Jodi Farrell. The first set will feature a Special Tribute to super group, Cream; The second set features music from Clapton’s years with Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominoes, as well as Clapton’s solo career.
