Event details: AFRICAN FAMILY FESTIVAL
Description
Come celebrate Black History Month with art, music, and dance from Africa and the African-American experience. Create your own Kente cloth shawl and Adinkra design greeting card. Hungry? Sample Southern-style desserts and foods! View an informative Civil Rights exhibit. Buy something to wear or décor for your home from the African marketplace. And don't miss the special performance of African drums and dance followed by stirring gospel music. Be sure to get your face painted by Bowers artists before you leave! Co-sponsored by the African Cultural Arts Council.
