In San Juan, the capital and largest city, the Isla Verde area is known for its hotel strip, beach bars, and casinos. Its Old San Juan neighborhood features colorful Spanish colonial buildings and El Morro and La Fortaleza, massive, centuries-old fortresses. Places we will visit: Castillo San Felipe del Morro also known as Fuerte San Felipe del Morro or Castillo del Morro, is a 16th-century citadel located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. San Juan is the second oldest city established in the New World, one of the most historically significant destinations in the Caribbean & the Western Hemisphere. Walk through 500-year-old forts with breathtaking views of the Atlantic, various UNESCO sites, historic churches, Castillo San Cristóbal, also known as Fort San Cristóbal, is a fort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was built by Spain to protect against land based attacks on the city of San Juan. It is part of San Juan National Historic Site. Overnight hotel stay in San Juan Day02 Beach & Cave Explore Exploring beach and caves -Mar Chiquita Mar Chiquita, or Little Sea, is a small beach in a protected cove near the eastern end of a long rocky wall exposed on the coast of Manatí in northern Puerto Rico, about 40 kilometers west of San Juan. The oval-shaped beach lies behind the rocky wall in a small cove protected from the rough Atlantic. The wall was breached by the action of waves to form a 25-meter opening where the tide entered and formed a bay in the shape of the English alphabet U. The waves inside the cove is of considerable height as the result of the backwash meeting the incoming waves at their breaking point, building up the size of the waves. -Cueva del Indio Cueva del Indio, in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, is a prehistoric rock art site in what is now a public park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Set along the hardscrabble north coast in Arecibo, La Cueva was carved into the limestone by the sea hundreds of years ago; LONG before Columbus was even a gleam in his parents’ eyes. Taino Indians convened here, a series of petroglyphs still adorning the walls illustrating the ancient importance of this place. -Cueva Ventana – short hike Cueva Ventana translates literally to “Window Cave.” Locally famous, Window Cave is an enchanting limestone cave set into the side of a cliff – one which visitors can freely explore. Window Cave offers impressive stalagmites and stalactites, reaching out of the floor and ceiling like jagged teeth in the gaping maw of the cavern. But the real highlight comes at the end of the short path through solid rock created by the cave. a limestone cliff in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, overlooking the Río Grande de Arecibo valley Overnight hotel stay in Cabo Rojo Day03 Cabo Rojo  Today we will explore the south-west side of the Island – Cabo Rojo. Cabo Rojo is a municipality of Puerto Rico situated on the south-west corner of the island; about 1.45 minutes from the capital city of San Juan. La Playuela / “Playa Sucia” – The most breathtaking beach location in Puerto Rico La Playuela, commonly known as Playa Sucia, is a true Caribbean all-inclusive beach for nature lovers, located on the amazing beach town of Cabo Rojo  . Dramatic scenery, gorgeous watercolors, natural bridges, unmatched Caribbean views, sights of the most attractive lighthouse on the island, hidden caves, private beach coves to explore, dramatic limestone cliffs, bird watching, hiking scenic trails and more await on this spectacular location. Later we will stop at The Salt Flats in Cabo Rojo is one of the most under-appreciated natural treasures in Puerto Rico.  This is a beautiful place with high educational value for all ages.   Las Salinas is an excellent eco-attraction and one of the most scenic stops on the west coast of Puerto Rico to admire nature. Late afternoon we will drive back to San Juan, on the way we will make a stop to Ponce. Ponce is a large city on Puerto Rico’s southern coast. Its well-preserved old town features grand mansions built in the unique Ponce Creole architectural style, such as the Centro Cultural de Ponce Carmen Solá de Pereira. Nearby, the Museo de Arte de Ponce is famed for its huge European and Puerto Rican art collections. South, the seafront boardwalk of Paseo Tablado La Guancha is lined with restaurants and bars. some free time at the hotel before we get ready to explore the nightlife in Old San Juan It is no secret that Puerto Rico knows how to party!  Overnight hotel stay in San Juan Day04 El Yunque Rainforest – Bio Bay El Yunque National Forest is a tropical rainforest in northeastern Puerto Rico. From El Portal Visitor Center, a walkway winds through the surrounding treetops. Trails run to La Coca falls and Mount Britton, then up to the high-altitude dwarf forest. In the south are ancient petroglyphs, made by the area’s indigenous Taíno people. The forest comes alive with the nightly calls of coquí tree frogs. If you have always dreamed about swimming in a waterfall, having the water cascade onto your back, massaging you, then you are in luck. Many people have that experience at La Coca Falls in the El Yunque National Forest.  Rainforest waterfall accessed easily from the road, with a viewing area & clear water for swimming. Evening: Bio bay kayak tour If you are in Puerto Rico, this is definitely an adventure not to be missed! Kayaking at night to experience the magic of bioluminescence is a luxury that you will rarely find elsewhere in the planet. A guided kayaking adventure into the dazzling world of Laguna Grande. Here you will meet a wonderful marine microorganism that produces a natural light with every stroke of your paddle!
