WEEKEND Thrift Store Shopping Spree - UPDATES!

I HAVE UPDATED THIS - WE ARE GOING TO HIT THE FREMONT AREA, HOPE STATION AND THRIFT TOWN. WE CAN HIT ADDITIONAL THRIFT STORES DEPENDING ON INTEREST & TIME. WE HAVE A 9:30AM START TIME DUE TO LARGE CROWDS. IF WE LEAVE HERE FROM SAN JOSE BY 9:45, WE SHOULD HIT FREMONT JUST AFTER 10AM. I WOULD SAY EVERYONE SHOULD PLAN AT LEAST 3.5 HOURS FOR THIS. IF YOU HAVE TO BE BACK IN SAN JOSE BEFORE 1PM, THIS TRIP MAY NOT BE FOR YOU, AS WE SHOULD EXPECT TO SPEND PROBABLY AT LEAST AN HOUR AT EACH STORE, PLUS TRAVEL TIME. DEPENDING ON TOTAL NUMBER OF PEOPLE, WE WILL PROBABLY NEED 2 CARS IF MORE THAN 5 PEOPLE ATTEND. I HAVE AN X-TERRA AND CAN TAKE 4 OTHER PEOPLE. IF YOU CAN DRIVE, PLEASE NOTE THAT IN YOUR RSVP. THANKS - TINA So, ever since I started this swap group, I know we're all used to getting new items for free. However, another way to get new clothes without spending a lot is thrift shopping. I discovered thrift stores back in March, and I think you'd be amazed at what you can buy for very LITTLE moolah (see below)! I thought it would be fun to gather a group of us swappers for a morning or afternoon of looking through thrift stores for bargains! In the past 2 months, I have found great and stylish tops, skirts and dresses from Banana Republic, H&M, Ella Moss, Betsey Johnson, Juicy, Forever 21, Ann Taylor, Nine West, Anthropologie and more - most items under $5! And yes, I am talking about Goodwill in San Jose,as well as some thrift stores in Fremont. I'd love for a group of us to hit the thrift shops for some great items for little cash! Maybe we can have a competition to see how much we can buy for $20 or something like that! I can do weekdays since I work from home, or weekends for those who work during the weekdays. I know there are a number of you who have flexible schedules, or don't work every weekday, so if this date and time doesn't work for you, let me know when does. For those of you not sure about thrift stores, let me just tell you I went today and bought a Betsey Johnson dress for $3.50, and a Neiman Marcus tote for $3.20. I'd be happy to share the secrets I've discovered thrift shopping, and its an cheap (but not free like the swaps) way to add new clothing to your wardrobe. We could meet at my place and carpool. Maybe we can even do lunch after a few hours of shopping! Note - please let me know if you have a time constraint.
