Venue details: Peralta Adobe & Fallon House Historic Site in San Jose metro area
Description
The Peralta Adobe is San Joséâs oldest address. Built in 1797, the Peralta Adobe is the last remaining structure from El Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe. See the Adobeâs horno, an outside working oven or venture inside the home and see two rooms furnished as they might have been when they were occupied by the Gonzales and Peralta families. The exquisite Fallon House was built in 1855 by Thomas Fallon, one of San Joséâs earliest mayors. The Victorian mansion showcases 15 fully furnished rooms typical of the Victorian period. The Fallon House historic site is a jewel in the heart of downtown San José. The site is located in San Pedro Square, on the corner of San Pedro and W. St. John Streets in the historic restaurant district of downtown San José. The Victorian Gardens at the Fallon House offer a lovely, undiscovered retreat from the urban hustle and bustle. Meeting rooms are available in the Fallon House and the City Store.
The Fallon house is managed by History San Jose. Groups of 10 or more may schedule a 90-minute customized tour of History Park. Group tour fees are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for youth ages 6-17, children 5 and under are free. To make reservations for your group, please call (408) 918-1047.
