Willie Hugh Nelson (born April 29, 1933) is an American singer-songwriter and actor. He is widely viewed as one of the most beloved and notorious country music singers in the world. He reached his greatest fame during the so-called "outlaw country" movement of the 1970s, but remains iconic, especially in American popular culture. In recent years he has continued to tour, record, and perform, and this, combined with activities in advocacy of cannabis, as well as a well-publicized 2006 arrest for cannabis possession, have made him the subject of renewed media attention.

San Jose Civic Auditorium
Built in 1936, the Civic Auditorium is a Spanish Mission style dual-level auditorium that hosts a variety of events including performing arts, general assembly, community and sporting events. Located directly across the street from the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, the Auditorium features 3,060 seats and four meeting rooms. The Auditorium provides additional exhibit and general assembly space in conjunction with the Convention Center and Parkside Hall.
