Bypass the mission peak and letÂÂ's do something different - 10mi / 1600 ft

Distance: Approximately 10miles Elevation Gain: 1600 feet Difficulty: Moderately Strenuous (if you hike to mission peak regularly, then you will be fine on this hike) IMPORTANT NOTE: This hike is not for beginners. Description: It will be mainly an in and out the same way hike with a couple of loops far left side of the mission peak. Starting from the Ohlone College parking lot, we will take the Peak Trail to ohlone wilderness sign in panel via Ranch Trail. MAP Parking: We will meet in the parking lot M. There is a $2 parking fee at Ohlone College parking lots. I heard its normally free on weekends and holidays, but I am not sure. You could try to park on Mission blvd or side-streets and then walk over to the trail head. Directions: From I-680 take exit 16 for Mission Blvd toward CA-238/Fremont, drive about 0.7 mi and turn right on pine rd all the way to parking lot M.
