Description
Located in the South Beach area of San Francisco, AT&T Park is home to the 2010 World Series Champion Giants. Since 2000, the stadium has not only been home to the Giants themselves, but their extremely loyal fan base who love the park almost as much as the team itself. In addition to sold-out baseball games, AT&T Park also schedules the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl every year, as well as presents musicians and performers that no regular arena or venue can contain.

AT&T Park (originally Pacific Bell Park) was built in 2000 after the Giants and the San Francisco 49ers had shared use of Candlestick Park for a number of years. One unordinary feature of the park is the right field wall, which was made out of brick and extended to 24 feet high in honor of Willie Mays' former number. The wall has made it increasingly hard to hit home runs in the right field, but led to a number of inside the park home runs. Because of AT&T Park's location directly next to the China Basin of the San Francisco Bay, the area behind the wall has become known as the McCovey Basin (after Willie McCovey) and fans in kayaks and boats can be seen trying in the water trying to retrieve home run balls. It has also led to the "Splash Hit" counter, which keeps track of the number of home runs hit into the basin by Giants players.

Unlike many new stadiums that have turned out to be less of an improvement than the previous park, AT&T Park has features, amenities, and facilities that make it revered by Giants fans. Check the schedule above to see what exciting events are coming to AT&T Park.
