Yaelisa and Caminos Flamencos
Part of the 2012 San Francisco International Arts Festival

Homenage a los Flamencos de la Bodega (2012, World Premiere)

Homenage is Yaelisa’s tribute to the founders and creators of the legendary Cuevas Room, which was located at the Olde Spaghetti Factory in North Beach. This production honors the founders and creators and provides a historical perspective of the importance of this proving ground for flamenco and the lasting impact that it had on flamenco in North America. The project is a recreation of the figures, the atmosphere and a retelling of the many now mythic stories that took place within its walls. The production will include narrative text, projections and historical flamenco scene recreations with appearances by some of the original artists who performed on its legendary stage.

Presented by Yaelisa & Caminos Flamencos.

Children under the age of 5, including babes-in-arms, are not admitted to the theatre. Balcony access is by stairs only. Please contact the box office for special accessibility needs. Everyone must have a ticket.
