What: Happy Hour and Silent Auction Fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
When: Wednesday, September 15th, 2010 6:00-10:00
Where: The Republic at Scott and Lombard in San Francisco (www.republicsf.com)
Why:
1. Because it's Happy Hour!
2. Because The Republic is donating money to LLS for every drink purchased off our special fundraiser menu!
3. Because there is a fantastic silent auctionand rafflewith all proceeds going to LLS! The Napa wine tasting trip includes transportation to and from wine country and complementary tastings, featuring Hall Wines and Cakebread Cellars! Buy your raffle tickets now - if you order tickets online, you need not be present to win!!

4. Because, LLS is a reputable and effective organization that puts 76.2 cents of every dollar donated to patient care, education and research. Your money can do powerful and lifesaving things! LLS will help patients find and fund a bone marrow donor if a transplant is needed. LLS will help patients pay for treatments and procedures that insurances do not cover. They will provide patients and their families with accurate and up to date information on their diagnoses and current treatments. LLS will continue to fund research that allows more treatments and cures to be developed. A recently developed drug helped our honoree and my neighbor, Carrie beat Lymphoma! She is running along with me (probably much faster though!).
