Brews on the Bay Beer Festival Scheduled for September 11 & September 12

The San Francisco Brewers Guild will presents its seventh annual Brews on the Bay Beer Festival on September 11th and 12th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The event takes place aboard the SS Jeremiah O’Brien, the historic World War II Liberty ship docked at Pier 45 in San Francisco.

Tickets for each day of the festival are $45.00 in advance and $55.00 at the door and may be purchased online at www.sfbrewersguild.org and at all seven participating breweries. The price of admission includes beer samples, food, live music and special tours of the ship, virtually all of which will be open to visitors.

San Francisco Brewers Guild members participating in the festival include Gordon Biersch Brewery & Restaurant, ThirstyBear Brewing Company, 21st Amendment, Magnolia Pub & Brewery, Beach Chalet Brewery & Restaurant, Social Kitchen & Brewery and Speakeasy which, collectively, will be pouring more than 40 artisan beers thus making this the largest offering of San Francisco brewed beers available at any festival worldwide.

Proceeds from the festival will be donated to the organization that maintains the SS Jeremiah O’Brien which made seven ocean voyages and eleven crossings of the English Channel during WWII and is one of only two Liberty ships still sailing.
