Root Division encourages and supports the integration of arts production and education for artists and communities. Our organization’s purpose is to support culture, artists, education and community in the San Francisco Bay Area. We believe that these elements can and should exist together in schools, communities and the lives of artists.
Root Division Maintains the Gallery 3175, a studio, event and classroom facility at 3175 17th St. in the Mission. 18 Artists enjoy subsidized studio space in exchange for teaching art to children and adults or producing events.
