Save the date! Our veterans served to protect our nation's freedom. Let each of us serve to protect the nation's health. Without the security of basic healthcare for each citizen, this nation's people cannot exercise what the Declaration of Independence calls our "unalienable rights...Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." We are calling for people to gather in San Francisco and in cities around the country to honor Veterans Day. Gathering with our neighbors, we will be lighting luminaries to symbolize our commitment to ensuring healthcare as a basic human right, not a privilege afforded only to a fortunate few. The location, time, and details will be confirmed soon, but mark your calendar now and plan to join in making this a bright night of hope!
