The San Francisco Chess Meetup

Let's meet for some chess at Cafe International in the Lower Haight! Cafe International 508 Haight St. @ Fillmore http://cafeinternational.us Sunday, October 25, 3pm Cafe International in a spacious cafe with plenty of large rectangular tables that are great for regulation-sized chess boards. They are right in front of the bus stop for the MUNI 6, 7, and 71 lines. CI has food, drink (including beer and wine), and there is a free live open jazz jam Sundays beginning around 4pm. There is a small area in back where it may also be possible to set up a couple boards outside. I also have a new website where I will be adding resources related to this meetup and to chess in San Francisco in general: http://citychess.net. I would like to see if we can not charge attendees for our meetups. Let's see how it works to have a sliding scale $0 - $3 recommended donation. Please bring your boards, sets, and clocks, if you have them! Please consider tipping your server and the band, and please be respectful of others who may be there to listen to the music!
