Description
It seems everywhere you turn, businesses are "going green" and
experts are saying that the future of our economy will be "green
jobs." But what does that mean for the future of your business,
your workers and your career?

San Francisco is home to pioneering businesses in the green
economy. Come hear from local leaders about how their companies
have implemented green strategies and about their opportunities
for growth.

- Jeanine Cotter, CEO, Luminalt, a solar installation company,
will discuss the demand for renewable energy systems and the
impact of California and San Francisco incentive programs.

- Kim Fox, Director of Environmental Business, Goodwill will
discuss her organization's work as both an employer providing
green jobs and as coordinator for San Francisco's newly launched
Green Skills Academy.

- Sylvia Kwan, President, Kwan Henmi Architects will discuss
green design and implications for the construction industry.

- John Legnitto, Vice President and General Manager, Recology
will discuss their zero waste strategy and the reasons behind
their recent rebranding from Norcal Waste Systems to Recology.

- Karen Chapple, PhD, Director of the Center for Community
Innovation at UC Berkeley will moderate our panel. She will
define green jobs and the green economy and share results of her
state-wide research of green business.

Title sponsor Microsoft will kick off our evening by describing
green IT and the implications for their workforce.
