Description
Bay Area filmmaker Matthew Furey's documentary, Red Poet explores the life and times of Jack Hirschman, a great American literary and social justice figure and the unofficial mayor of North Beach. The film documents his prolific literary career - he's published more than 100 books of poetry over the course of 56 years - and his life as an abstract expressionist painter. Through this film, audiences will see that Jack Hirschman is more than just a hipster with a political edge. Time: Monday 10:00am-6:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-8:00pm, Friday 12:00pm-6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm, Sunday 12:00pm-5:00pm
