Event details: Recent Restorations: 8mm Films of George & Mike Kuchar
Description
Celebrating these filmmakers, whose nearly five decades of filmmaking have created the most joyously perverse and influential oeuvres of underground cinema, we present four of their earliest work (all recently preserved by Anthology Film Archives): "Pussy on a Hot Tin Roof", "Tootsies in Autumn", "A Woman Distressed" and "Lovers of Eternity" (featuring filmmakers Dov Lederberg and Jack Smith).
A reception at SFMOMA will immediately follow the screening.
