Description
We begin silent sitting meditation at 3:00 pm. It is ok to come in late but please enter quietly, take off your shoes and then take a seat in the meditation hall (facing the wall, unless you have back problems). From 3:45 until 4:30 we have a discussion about the Dharma regarding how it can illuminate our spiritual practice and daily life. The discussion is led by the teacher, Rev. Ryuei of the Nichiren Shu lineage. From 4:30 until 5:00 we practice a form of chanting meditation that centers on recitation of passages from the sutra and mantra chanting.
